Latest Astressin-B Research Update
Hello guys, we are sorry for taking so long to follow up on our tests but it’s been a hectic and exciting time for us. So far we are hitting the 1 month and 2 weeks of our trials, and I must say that in all of my investigationsI have never seen anything so promising.
We have not been able to replicate the exact ideal conditions for the tests, but we have been working well with what we have.
I don’t want to elaborate on specifics yet as it’s very early to say, but there is no doubt that Astressin has an unusual impact on stopping further hair loss on our subjects.
It’s important to note that the mice we are testing have strong levels of stress present in the system, the main culprit for their present conditions; this inequitably proved the overwhelming impact of stress in the hair growth process, it can potential mean that we have found an amazing compound that counteracts this effect and can potentially be used in future treatments.
Now we have been receiving a lot of emails asking how astressin would affect specific Androgenic Alopecia patients. Would love to have an answer but it’s really too early to say, what I can say for sure is that while stress can trigger an onset of MPB, it is not certainly the only factor, so a lot testing still needs to be conducted.
The next 2 months will be crucial, as we will be changing the testing environmental conditions but most importantly test on subjects with different conditions, some of which don’t involve a pre-existing elevated stress levels.
Will keep you updated, and to everyone that is feeling down and on the downside of advantage, there is hope, and I wouldn’t be saying this if I did not strongly believe we were dealing with a potentially gam changer here.

So awesome to see someone is releasing more information on Astressin-B. Can’t wait to see more tests done!
Is there anyway for someone to buy astressin-b?
Anything new to update us with??
It’s been one month on. Any updates??
Yes please we are all very anxious for any new results!
I also confer on the drug high hopes, because I started to lose hair, not so long ago. But the real information about astressin-B is very small. In addition, they’re just not long started to Research and how much they will last nobody knows (((And how many phases will study researches before the FDA approves them.
Be brave bald around the world someday we will win this disease.
very much looking forward to updates.
Is there any news you can update us on regarding the Astressin-B
Hi. I have fairly severe and 100% stress related alopecia areata. I live in the um. Is there any way I can get on a drug trial to test astressin-b for anyone? Thanks.
Hello Kate,
Unfortunately as far as I know the compound is still under preliminary testing. What I can tell you is that if the the compound continues to success at these early stage trials the way that it is at the moment, the Human trials should not be too far away.
Hi Vince, check our out latest post on the subject.
One thing I would like to stress out is that Astressin-B is not a drug, it’s a compound that might be used in a drug. This means that in theory, a drug can be even more effective than the compound alone depending on its manufacturing process and optimization done as the product matures.
Hi,
How long it will take for human trails. Plz inform ..We are eagrly awaiting in india …!!!!!!
Hello,
i’m just nineteen and because of very very strong acne treatments which have ruined all my teen age i’m now loosing all my hairs… I don’t wanna live in this way, hidding me under a hat everytime i go out, i just wanna live in an ordinary way like everyone else… Please consider i’m absolutely desperate, i hope you are trying to do your best to find the answer that billions of men ( and women) are waiting for all over the world… i beg you to make your best as soon as possible, i don’t wanna live in that way anymore. Please find something…
Is there any indication that it may work topically?
Astressin b seems very intriguing but i am always suspect of too good 2 b true. What is with the history of Astressin b? I found data from 5 years ago about Astressin B testing. Nothing regarding hairloss. Is the astressin b effect on hairloss just something new they discovered? I am hoping that the 5 previous years of testing will be beneficial to bringing this to market sooner, if it really works. Maybe someone can explain the history of Astressin b better.
Make that 7 years.
Make it 12 years since astressin b was first developed.

The compound has been around for a long time Joe, but so have many other compounds that were not tested for specific purposes. The truth of the matter is that
only recently has Astressin b been tested as a serious potential hair loss treatment.
Joe, apologize for the late reply. I will ask Jason to come here and provide an better in depth on the history of Astressin b, what I can tell you for sure is that it has been around far longer than people might imagine.
astressin was being used on bald mice to find a way to combat stress, they left the bald mice with some normal mice and left them for 3 months. they came back and couldn’t tell the mice apart because the compound had made them grow fur back.
someone is quoted on this site saying human clinical trials need 5 years
http://healthylifecarenews.com/stay-step-again-baldness-can-be-treated/#comments
i didn’t get it much ,,is the result promising ????? what dose did you use with this mice ??? is it a daily dose ? is there a regrowth of fully bald areas ?
so, if i understand this correctly, it seems that these mice were exposed to some type of man made, stress inducing situation. then, once some level of hair loss was present, they were given the astressin b. then, they were allowed to live amongst other, non “stressed out,” mice for 3 months. how do they know that the asrtessin b was responsible for the apparent hair regrowth, and not the 3 month absence of human induced stress?
Great question Ryan. The sub-group of mice you are referring to was geneticallyaltered to overproduce CRF, it’s not a temporary volatile condition.
I have been doing a every other day application of a DMSO solution containing phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and allantoin. I am at month 4 with about 15% mature hair regrowth and maybe another 30% immature hair growth. Due to the length of the hair cycle (4-8 weeks) I imagine it would likely take 2 – 3 years for full regrowth. I am assuming that rats have shorter hair cycle which made the results much more astonishing to “us”. I would love to be able to replace the phosphatidylserine with astressin-B but it is still hard to find for private research. I would really like to see some comparative measurements of cortisol reduction; Astressin-B vs phosphatidylserine.
Mice don’t care about being Bald – stop with this already.
There Are hundred different reasons for hair loss. How does this treatment address all the reasons for hair loss? What effects does it have On DHT levels and other various underlying conditions that trigger hair loss like sebum build up, inflammation on the scalp, thyroid hormone, insulin levels, and over all immune system response? Some believe hair loss is triggered from immune system attacking hair follicles..
Aaron, most hair-loss conditions are interconnected in a way that most people don’t understand.
how long it will take it to make ready for treatment on human because i need it
After reading this side effects ,,,,i strongly believe the role of cortisol on this ,,,many of AA sufferers suffer from insomnia and hypo salivation ,,, so it may be just reversal for action
Dr. Ahmed
Hey brad could you please detail your specific regimen with amounts of each substance and whether you premix it or not?TYhanks
Bocor –
Its changed slightly since I last posted. Specifically, I removed the majority of the phosphatidylcholine, some still exists due the refining process of phosphatidylserine.
3 fl oz DMSO combined with 3000 mg of phosphatidylserine and 60 mg allantoin
DMSO is 90/10% of dmso/water purchased only for $10
Phosphatidylserine is sourced from a vitamin store for about $15. Make sure that the are vegicaps which should be powdered. Don’t try and use the gel vitamins as they contain a lot of fat which is not very soluble and will go rancid if you premix. The vegicaps are mostly pure but do contains some other members of the choline group as well as silicone(Silicone is added for flow-ability).
The allantoin was bought online in bulk for some little amount; i don’t remember max $30.
This solution should last approximately 6 months. I tend to make a new batch every 3 months though. Phosphatidylserine is a fat and will go rancid over time.
Also, i add a few drop of peppermint to try and cover up the smell. I will not lie and say it smells good at all. If anything, without the mint, its smell is similar to old fish.
The allantoin is very important to me as it is a keratin softener which makes it very usefull in the treatment of scare tissue. Make sure not to have more than 2-3% of allantoin in your mixture; higher than this and you will get chemical burns.
On a side note though 5% mixture of allantoin and dmso used to spot treat a scar works really well. I read that this mixture works on kelloids as well. But i digress.
Last couple notes. It will make you somewhat sleepy so don’t put it on and then drive any great distance. I try to put it on about an hour before bed so that it has time to dry. Unabsorbed DMSO will leech any molecule with a molecular weight less than ~1000. So be careful not to touch your head until it has dried. Also, think about giving up shampoo and body washes. As those chemicals will leech into your body.
So far I am very excited by my progress. With only mild side effects.
Also, ill note my side effects.
1. sleepiness
2. headaches
3. Hyperkinetic Gallbladder
Sleepiness is hardly noticeable anymore. Headaches are rare don’t know if they are related or not. The overactive galbladder is the worst and is only managed by eating small meals slowly through the day or just dealing with it. I am still looking into ways to reduce that effect. I may try to switch to a different transdermal solvent, perhaps phlogel. DMSO is very systemic possibly even passing the blood brain barrier but it does have the highest ability to carry molecules through the skin.
The hyperkinetic gallbladder side effect wasn’t noticed until the 4th month and I am hoping to get 9 months in before tapering the dosage down; from everyday to hopefully once a week or once every other week.
Other side effects noted:
longer eyelashes and eyebrows
Ultimately it would be best if the cortisol blocker could be localized to the scalp only.
@Brad M
Do you have pictures to back up these claims? Sarah, what do you think about this? Would blocking cortisol locally with this agent possibly have any positive effects?
Forgot dosage. The DMSO bottle has a roller ball I just roll around the crown of my head.
http://flic.kr/p/arzt8p This is starting and at 77 days
http://flic.kr/p/arzte2 This is at about day 95
Its nothing amazing to look at really. It is still very early. Like I said in my previous posts it will likely take 2 – 3 years to regrow hair to any thickness. I suspect the same even if you were using astressin-b.
@Tak -
Also, the DMSO although transdermal is highly systemic. You apply in one spot in hopes that it is absorbed mostly in that area but it still goes through out your body. You can put DMSO on your foot and taste its garlic flavor 5 mins later.
@Tak
My post with links to pics is still awaiting moderation. Phosphatidylserine has been shown already to blunt the production of stress related cortisol production.
Some other of my thoughts.
The word stress is thrown around a lot on here and it seems misleading to me. Stress to me is not a response of the body but an outside influence. What we are really trying to manage and reduce is inflammation. Stress triggers inflammation which in turns triggers fibrosis(scarring).
Albeit, androgenic alopecia is created internally. But I tend to think of it as being more similar to an autoimmune disorder.

I posted some new pics. Let me know what you think.
Also, I am thinking that long term effects of this sort of treatment whether it be PS or astressin-b will lead to an enlarged gallbladder. I am hoping to restore my hair quickly enough and then back down the applications until I find the happy medium. Another thought also. The hypersomnia has almost gone away completely and in fact I am waking up with greater ease. I am thinking that my circadian rhythm has finally normalized and that the my bodies trigger to wake up is now requiring less cortisol. Which leads me to believe that the gallbladder issues may also overtime acclimate to the lower cortisol levels. I have no idea how long it takes to reprogram the cellular receptor sites but I imagine that they each respond differently.
Also, application in the morning had lowered gallbladder issues significantly. However, I added another dose before my workouts which in turn lead to an increase in gallbladder issues. So now I am back to 1 application in the morning.
I have had no hair brows lashed hair on legs and total loss on head for about 20 years now if there is any way i could get my hair back bring it on. as far as the gallbladder already had it out
but I have really light hairs but they are not growing except 2 or 3 of them. I know that diabetes
and thyroid have a lot to do with every thing but would be willing to try something
